About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the lead makeup artist in creating flawless bridal makeup looks tailored to the bride’s style.
Perform bridal hairstyling services, including updos, curls, braids, and other wedding-ready styles.
Provide makeup and hair services for bridal parties (e.g., bridesmaids, mother of the bride/groom).
Set up and organize the workspace, ensuring all tools, products, and equipment are sanitized and ready.
Help with touch-ups during the day as needed (e.g., lipstick refresh, hair adjustments).
Maintain a professional and calming presence to ensure the bride and bridal party feel relaxed and confident.
Travel to on-site locations with the team, ensuring timely setup and service delivery.
Requirements
Proven experience in bridal hair and makeup (portfolio required).
Proficiency in hairstyling techniques, including updos, curls, and modern bridal trends.
Knowledge of makeup application techniques for different skin types, tones, and textures.
Strong understanding of sanitation and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints without compromising quality.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel within Northern California.
Preferred Skills:
Formal cosmetology training or certification is a plus.
Knowledge of current wedding beauty trends and techniques.
Experience working in high-pressure or luxury settings.
Ability to handle multiple clients in a single session with grace and efficiency.
